Merry Christmas!!

Here are some pictures leading up to Christmas this year, beginning with AJ and his inseparable doggie "Mung-mungie" next to the 3" x 5" TV (although we now have a bigger one) and leading up to a bribed photo of the two in Santa hats in front of the Nativity window. Alas the picture of the gingerbread house is missing the marshmallows and the snowman, but it was devoured before I could get another picture, so this will have to be good enough. We also have a video of AJ singing "Happy Birthday" to himself, which he constantly does in both English and Korean. We have BJ goofing around with his Ben 10 watch (which turns him into good guy aliens). The boys, who are now friends, are sitting next to one another in the same chair watching a movie on the computer. My nephew is helping to build another gingerbread house.

Also, I have a link to a song that BJ and AJ both love about Christmas. Maybe Carl and Katrina will like it, too (there are two links). BJ adds his own words and AJ only sings the verse about the dog (not in the videos--"'I', said the dog with the dark brown eyes, 'I watched over him under darkening skies. I watched over him until morning's rise. I', said the dog with the dark brown eyes.). I enjoy BJ's verses, although I never did hear what the "evil alien robot monster dragon" did for Baby Jesus.

Halloween Drags On

The boys made these videos for Daddy last night. BJ is reading Daddy a book, and AJ is looking for Daddy in the camera while BJ and I read a book. Believe it or not, I was trying to get AJ to hold that sucker still, but it didn't seem to help...

Busy Boys

Life as a preschooler can be quite exciting, you know. Here are some highlights from the last week. We have seen lots of buggies--beetles, bees, ants, and butterflies. We make the spiders come out of their funnel webs with our squirt bottles. But our favorite so far has been the praying mantis eating the butterfly (see above). BJ has also been building Power Ranger robots out of blocks (see picture) and AJ has been working hard on putting the squirting attachment on the hose, something he's not supposed to do (see semi-guilty look above). Finally, we've just been hanging out (see two boys in the car).
We love you all and can't wait to see you!

Happy birthday, boys!

As many of you know, the last few weeks have been very trying, and I can't tell you how happy I am that both boys have survived their birthdays. Seeing AJ eating birthday cake, albeit on BJ's birthday since he spent his own in the emergency room, brought great joy and relief to this mother's heart.

Children's Day

Here are a couple of pictures from BJ's Children's Day. His school had a celebration, but as you can see, he had stayed up all night, was scared by the loud music, and fell asleep. That did nothing to dampen AJ's spirits, however!
